Andreas Schager, in his much-anticipated debut with The Royal Opera, stars as Siegfrieds titular hero, alongside Christopher Maltmans towering Wanderer, Peter Hoares treacherous Mime and Elisabet Strids radiant Brnnhilde. Antonio Pappano conducts, drawing out the unspoken tensions and ethereal mysticism of Wagners dynamic score.
